CAMP THEMES
GRADES 4-6 SUMMER CAMP
Jesus doesn’t invite us into a stale, stuffy life of rule-following and trying to be good. Jesus invites His followers into an unexpected and unimaginable adventure. The human desire for adventure, exploration, and excitement was designed by God, and the fullest expression of that life is found in following Jesus. We’ll take a look at Jesus’ Disciples and key characters and stories that reveal the kind of radical fulfilling life that Jesus offers when we choose to follow Him. By looking at the amazing experiences they had following Jesus, we’ll catch a glimpse of what Jesus may have in store for us when we follow Him.
GRADES 7-12 SUMMER CAMP
We’ll be unpacking the incarnation of Jesus. It’s a deep theological well we can draw from, but understanding the significance of what God did by living among us helps us understand that God is still with us. This forces the question: why would God go to such lengths to live with us and die for us only to leave again?
Processing through these questions will offer powerful opportunities to help students connect deeply with God in new ways. By truly understanding the impact of the incarnation – that God is fiercely relational and committed to being with us – it can change how we approach the God of the universe.

What Is the Purpose of Church Camp?
Church Camp is a fun-filled program during the summer as an outreach, meant to bring in children who may or may not normally attend church and to teach them the gospel. As an evangelistic tool, Church Camp helps churches fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19).
Church Camp is very popular because each program has its own theme that children can explore. A week of Church Camp includes games, snacks, crafts, skits, sports, Bible study groups, God-Honoring Worship, and, of course, Bible lessons. There is always a connection between God and the theme, allowing kids to discover God in a creative way.
Church Camp is a fun, low-pressure evangelism tool. Many adults today can attest to the fact that Church Camp was where they first learned about Jesus Christ, resulting in their salvation and it is a good way to reaffirm the commitment of God’s people through the centuries: “We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord” (Psalm 78:4).
Is Church Camp Relevant Today?
Many people may wonder what the purpose of Church Camp is and if it’s still relevant. The answer is actually very simple: the purpose of Church Camp is to minister children in the church, create outreach to the surrounding communities, and to create evangelism opportunities. This purpose is supported by a creative theme of Bible study, activities, worship, and even time for some tasty snacks.
Is Church Camp only Bible Studies?
At Church Camp there are so many specific activities at that your child can choose from during "free time". Swimming, Football, Playground, Rick Climbing, Hiking, Ropes Course, Paint Ball, Zipline, Gaga Ball. There is also organized team play time with relay races, touch football, and so much more
