STEP 7

GIVE

Step onto or Level on the Generosity Ladder

If you’ve ever changed a light bulb or painted a house, you know that a ladder is simply a tool to get you from your current level to a higher level. Things that are out of reach before we step onto a ladder are easily in our grasp after we climb to the top.

The Generosity Ladder is a tool designed to help people look at their giving with an open mind. Each LEVEL of the ladder represents growth in a lifestyle of generosity and sacrifice. These are not LEVELs you slowly ascend to get to God but simply a way to evaluate your growth in generosity.

Let's Try It

This is the first level.  Someone who has not yet given to The Church at Estrella. This is the first step toward inviting God to be a part of your finances

Every Now & Then

The next level up is called Every Now and Then. Maybe you have given before. Maybe you have given whenever you have a few extra dollars in your pocket, or the message was really good on a particular day. And so you give. It is sort of based on how you feel.

V.I.P

Gives Conistently and Intentionally

V.I.P. is the backbone of the church. This is the person who says I can be counted to support the work and ministry and kingdom of God. It may only be $10, or $20 a week. The VIP’s are the people that have said I am going to consistently and constantly and continually give.

EXEMPLARY

The Biblical Example

Exemplorary means the example that I am supposed to follow. In the Old Testement God said to bring a 1/10 back to him. Is that is really hard? Yes, living out what the Bible says it is generally not very easy. If it was everyone would do it! But listen I am not saying you have to jump to the Biblical example today. It is okay to grow in your generosity. And Challenge yourself. The Kingdom of God does not run on the back of
any one giver, it takes all of us to make a difference together.

LEGACY

Long-Term Impact

Legacy givers think past this year and moving toward long-term impact for The Church at Estrella, their family, and eternity. They make  decisions in the short-term that have longer-term effects on their giving capacity. Legacy givers consider the impact that every personal asset has on their ability to be generous. This person is no longer asking the question, “God, how much are you asking me to give?” Instead, this person is asking, “God, how much are you asking me to keep?”
